PaleoAdventures

PaleoAdventures is an independent, commercial paleontology company dedicated to helping preserve the important vertebrate fossils (DINOSAURS, MARINE REPTILES, ETC) of the great American West! We run adventure tours to actual dinosaur dig sites, on private land, where guests can dig for real dinosaur fossils themselves. Guests are trained in the proper techniques of paleontologic fieldwork and can even keep some of the common fossils they find. Commercial grade pieces can be purchased if the guest wishes, but scientific grade fossils and skeletons are reserved for museums only. Tours are by appointment only, ages 12 and up, and reservations for our summer trips need to be made months in advance as we tend to fill up by early Spring.

When not doing tours we offer a variety of other services to local ranchers, educators and industry. Ranchers contact us to help evaluate potential fossil localities on private land. K-12 teachers contact us to do educational programs on Geology, Biology, and the Earth Sciences. Industry groups contact us to perform required paleontological resource assessments. We are even in the process of building our own dinosaur museum in the northern Black Hills to enhance our educational mission. We currently have one of the largest private collections of fossils in the United States and many of the fossils we have recovered are in museums all over the world.
