Tri-State Museum’s annual tea to be held Saturday, January 25.

The Tri-State Museum will hold its annual tea on Saturday, January 25 from 2 to 4 p.m. Tickets are $20 and are available at the visitor center desk of the museum at 415 Fifth Avenue in Belle Fourche or by calling the museum at 605-723-1200.

This year’s theme is “Hooray for Hollywood,” and the 10 tables will carry themes of various movies, as chosen by the table hostess.

All tables can be previewed before the tea from 1:30 to 2 p.m. and votes cast for the “People’s Choice” table winner.

Beautiful gift baskets, specially created by Wilma Dick, will be won by someone at each table. There will also be a special basket for the winner of the “People’s Choice Award.”

The event features elegant tea fare including scones with jam and Devonshire cream, cucumber and assorted sandwiches, palmiers, fruit pizza, relish trays and sweets, as well as fresh Earl Gray tea.

The tea benefits the museum and its programming. It is typically held in September but was moved to winter when the work on the addition was not yet completed in autumn. This will be the first tea to be held in the addition and will provide guests with an opportunity to see its amenities as well as view the museum proper, where there are new exhibits and a restructuring of existing ones.
